I have to start by saying that these where taken with my cheap camera phone at night so they look kinda weird. Our oldest has been asking us to build a snowman almost every day since it has snowed. The problem with Alaska snow, however, is it is usually too cold to be good for building snowmen. There is a proviso to this, however, as when the snow gets too cold it gets packed down and frozen together, just think igloo. We went sledding at an elementary school one really cold night and the snow was just right to be broken into big pieces and placed on top of each other to form the mighty snowman you see above. My son was so stoked to finally build a snowman, but he was a little disappointed when we couldn’t take him home with us.

That’s a pretty impressive snowman! I can’t believe you took those pictures with your phone! I think they look awesome! My phone takes really really crappy pictures, they would never come out that nice.
