futebol, sorta

I could have you believe that my son is really good at soccer. These pictures look pretty dang convincing. That’s the beauty of photography, and Photoshop, snicker, snicker. In reality, I’m afraid he is as good as I am. He also has the same focus as I do as well. I remember when I was a kid playing soccer I was looking at planes and running around in circles while tending goal. Then someone’s mother said, “goalie, watch the ball.” Then there was Jr. High. We where doing running exercises… backwards… and I hit someone. The kid I hit went into seizures. Yeah, how’s that for exciting. Then I remember basketball in Jr. High. My friend Nathan and I where the only kids to ever be cut from the c team. What can I say. I suck at sports. Here’s what my son looks like most of the time:

Yes, he’s dancing in the middle of the game.

He ran into his teammate… backwards. Like father, like son.

p.s. I post this, not to tease my son in any way. Only to show that we all can’t be good at everything.

Yeah, we totally got cut from B-Ball in Jr. High. I got the last laugh senior year in high school once I grew to 6’5″. The same coach that cut us asked me why I did not play basketball…
