First off let me say that my wife’s scream totally makes this video.

I remember as a child in Michigan watching lighting from our porch for hours at a time. I loved the smell of ozone in the air along with the fresh rain smell. When I heard that the storms in Austin can get pretty intense, I was pretty excited. Well the other night we had our first storm. It was totally fun. We were just sitting on our back porch listening to the distant thunder and seeing the flashes of light amongst the clouds. THen that last one gets a little close. I don’t think it was that close by any means, but it definitely reminded me of how small and insignificant I am next to the power of nature. We ended up watching the rest from inside.
