Why good lenses are so flipping expensive

Yes, this a video about the creation of video camera lenses, but the same rule applies to your standard high quality Canon or Nikon lens. I had to post it mainly because I just worked 18 hours last night on a commercial, and I found the music and video very hypnotizing.
