new spots

So here are some new TV spots that I just spent the last week working from home on. I was up till 5 am last night finishing the last one. They are commercials for the same product but being offered by two different companies (even though DigiTel is now technically GCI but they are keeping it separate). This is why I haven’t had a chance to blog at all this week. Few. Finally over. (Only to start all over again with another client)

I did 100% of this first one (not including music, but I did pick it out). The device looks so bulky and stupid in real life so I wanted to make it look sexy. I didn’t actually film this with a video camera but I did it “Gumby” style and did stop-motion photography. I had my camera tethered to my laptop and had it take a picture every 5 seconds. I either moved the device slightly each frame, or I moved the lights.[flv]http://porcarocommunications.com/xtreme/xtreme_mobility_1.flv[/flv]

This second one I did everything but the music, copy writing and photography (the voice is obviously not me either). This is the DigiTel version and we stuck to the current branding theme of English narration and slightly edgy pictures. That’s impressive! If I had made these commercials, it would have been a single frame with stick figures and only in black and white.
